Our Juvenile Practice
Defending Georgia Teens in the Legal System
Few situations impact only one person, and legal problems are no exception to that rule. If you or a member of your family is facing charges in the juvenile law system, it is important to contact an attorney who will work with you and your family to address your legal problems.
At the Juvenile Law Group, our attorneys work with clients throughout Atlanta, Georgia, and the surrounding area to help juveniles get the representation they need in legal matters. We represent clients in a variety of legal matters, including:
Juvenile Drug Crimes: Our attorneys defend teens who are facing charges for possessing, selling or trafficking drugs, including marijuana, meth, cocaine, heroine and prescription drugs. When it is appropriate, we help our clients find treatment centers that allow them to address their drug problem and get the help they need.
Juveniles tried as adults: There are some crimes that can be punished under the jurisdiction of both the juvenile or the adult court system, and it is up to the District Attorney to determine which court they will be tried in. We defend clients who are facing charges for murder, voluntary manslaughter, rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual batter and armed robbery with a fire arm.
Juvenile designated felonies: Unlike non-designated felonies which only carry up to a 30 day sentence, designated felonies carry more severe consequences. Designated felonies can include crimes such as drug trafficking, kidnapping, aggravated assault of teachers or any fourth felony.
Juvenile alcohol possession: With seemingly limitless access to alcohol, the opportunities to get caught with alcohol are increasing. Students are caught with alcohol at school, parties, in college or at the bar. We defend clients who are facing charges such as underage consumption, drunk driving or minor in possession.
If you or a loved one are facing charges in the juvenile legal system, contact our firm online or call 404-633-3797 or toll free 866-719-3420 to schedule your appointment with an experienced lawyer.
